Strange, I'm in a reverse world to you, I just logged off because my AV couldn't move, seems like you've taken my motion and I've taken your ability to stop!
It happened right after a TP, it tried to contact the teleporter again without me requestiong one, when I cancelled that, I couldn't move, I couldn't TP anywhere else either.

I've had the dreaded "walking disease" hit me before. Clearing cache and then restarting always seems to fix it for me.

i get this too every so often, my Av gets a mind of her own and decides she can walk straight through walls, through other people, and even through mid-air!! I watch her for a bit.. and then i log off, i wait about 5-10 mins and re-log and usually everything is back to normal.. Hopefully its just a little glitch for you and it will have all fixed itself up soon

Sometimes when I first log on, my avi walks in place for a bit. It stops on it's own as everything rezzes. Sometimes I float in the air while it's happening too.

From: Argent Asbrink I've had the dreaded "walking disease" hit me before. Clearing cache and then restarting always seems to fix it for me. Last time I cleared cache my inv was gone for few hours...is that normal? and yes, my AV is actually walking until I bang something that stop me and then I walk in place like a posesed woman LOL even when I manege to sit, I can see in the camera control the + mark for distance is working...

That will happen to me when I cross sim lines. Do you have an AO running? Try detaching that if you do. Sometimes things go wonky with them. Or try sitting down!

Being unable to stop is usually just simple lag. Give it a few seconds and it will usually stop on its own. If it doesn't, a relog will fix it.
I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that not being able to walk usually means you're partly disconnected from the grid. You send the command but the sim never receives it. Relog is a sure cure for that.
Sim crossings are a lot smoother for me now than they used to be, but if you do have a problem with one you can often help by taking off prim attachments. (Hair, shoes, anything). Reason is the system is having to move everything about your avatar from one sim to another, and the less it has to move the smoother it will be. (This can help when teleports aren't doing well too.)

Clearing your cache can sometimes result in an inventory slowdown, since you're basically reloading your inventory reference on the client side of the application. So...your stuff is still on the SL servers...and in your account...your client is just working to get it loaded back into it's memory again. When your cache gets filled, all sorts of strange mischeif can result. I routinely clear my cache at least once a week, and that's always seemed to work at keeping my SL experience a bit smoother.

that happens when you stop communicating with the server and you happened to be moving.

if you have cleared cache, relogged, and actually rebooted and this is still happening i doubt its a client issue. its likely something inworld i suspect. have you tried detaching everything from your av? From: Riki Wise Last time I cleared cache my inv was gone for few hours...is that normal?
