Wow.

So i haven't been around for a few months. Left novemberish of 06' and didn't really log back in until today.

The land and lindens market has gone straight into the crapper!

Example, back in november, lindens were hovering around 400 to the $, now its about half that.

And as for land.. oh boy..

Lesee, i can't find squat in the land tool thanks to all the idiots who use it to list rental plots (PS: LL, there needs to be a separate tab for rentals, STAT!), and as for the things that actually are for sale, prices are insane!

I've seen 512 and 1024 lots with really weak prim counts going between 10 and 20k!

The third party renters? Even they're stopped up. Ansheland? Almost full. Otherland? Full. Azure Islands? Full.

And the closure of the first land program didn't help much either.

*sigh* </rant off>

Whoops! Forgot to phrase my rant in the form of a question:

Is there really anything to do other than spend a shiatload of $$ right now for a decent plot, or wait it out?

Do a search in this forum under "land". There has been tons of conversation about what has been going on.

That should bring you up to speed.

'Into the crapper' depends on what side of the transaction you are on.

And the L$ was never hovering around 400, worst I ever remeber it was about 330.

You can sort the mainland from the estates in land search now.
