sorry if this is a stupid question....

Someone once told me that stuff that can occasionally fail to rezz get left at the edge of a sim - on an island, often in the water... is this true and does anyone know what coordinates to use ?

My group member failed to rezz objects and she was wondereing if they are at the "edge" of our land ??????

Since nobody else has replied.... from reading the forums, I believe the coordinates to look for are 0,0,0 in whichever sim. Check underground as well as visible.

The objects you see displayed at 0,0,0 are client artifacts. Leaked objects. Relog and they should go away.

I see on occasion where they are not client artifacts and have had to have a Linden come out to remove them. Yes, it's 0,0 usually beneath the surface. A Linden and I discovered one day when one of my mainland sims was running very poorly for days on end, that huge prims (yes the "bugged" ones) have a very bad effect on any of the sims that touch the four corners of a sim, with a pile of junk sitting beneath the ground at 0,0. I have repeatedly had to have a Linden come out and clean up the corners of surrounding sims that touch mine.

We have generally found it's caused by having no build enabled, no object entry set and autoreturn off. When you can momentarily rez something, then it's gone in a split second (including from your inventory), it ends up at 0,0 we found. This is where your missing things (no copy perhaps) from inventory can go if you make that rez boo-boo.

I was told by LL that everything goes to 0,0,0 in your region before it actually goes to where it suppose to be. I had issues of when I "stand up", for a few seconds, it looked like I got slammed face down by the police. All I could see is the ground. It happened pretty often. I contacted help request about it and they told me it was typical lag and that everything went to 0,0,0 before it was designated to the proper area. So, I guess when that happens, it gets stuck at 0,0,0. They need to make 0,0,0 Linden protected land and the designated junkyard.

Items definitely actually go to 0,0 in world, not just as a client effect. After getting some message about failed to rez or parcel didn't allow object to move in, if you're lucky and the 0,0 landowner has autoreturn on, shortly after you get the message that your stuff was returned to you from parcel (wherever the parcel was 0,0,0) and it goes to your L&F. That's not a client effect.

Sometimes you'll find an invisible object interfering with you on your land for example, but it appears to be elsewhere- that's the client side effect I think. The object is on your land, you just can't see it there, instead it appears at 0,0 but it collides with you etc where it really is.
