Have just open a new account and transfered 25 US$ dollar to this account.
How do I use the credit on my Second Life account to purchase linden dollar? When I'm trying to purchase Linden dollar I get some feedback saying that I have exceedet my limit of 25 US$. How do i purchase Linden dollars without getting this limit warning? Isn't it possible to use the credit on my account?

Hi; I saw this happen to a friend of mine, when she first joined SL. No matter how much she transferred to her new account, SL had her stuck on a 'limit' of $10 USD. I forget how long she was stuck tht way but a month at least. Even though it was HER money from HER bank account that she was transferring over to her USD credit on the SL website, it still would not allow her more than $10 USD believe it was 'per week'. So until those limits get lifted, don't transfer any more of your money over, it will just sit there. My friend this happened to feels/believes it's because she has a free account. This might be true, as I have a premium account, and it never happened to me. Good luck.......

When i first started I did have the 10 dollar limit per week. I believe after your account reaches a certain age (Not sure of how old) the limit gets increased. Currently, my account is 2 months od and I can buy up to 30 dollars worth of Lindens per week. Correct that. I can now buy up to 5,000 dollars worth of Lindens within 30 days. So this proves that over time that limit is increased

The problem is that you increased your USD credit, rather than just buying L$ from the Exchange. The maximum amount you're allowed on an initial purchase is 25USD, so when you try to buy L$ after increasing that credit, it thinks you're going over the limit. The initial limit last for 2 days, at which point you should be able to buy up to 100USD worth L$.

The limits are here:

http://www.secondlife.com/currency/describe-limits.php

Remember though, that they're cumulative, so if you buy 100USD worth of L$ by day 5, you won't be able to buy more until day 8, and then 200USD will be available, not the full 300USD. Also, the first day you purchase is counted as 'day 0,' so the limits increase a day later than you might think at first glance.

I see, then i have to wait a couple of days. I assume there is no other way to purchase Linden.
Thanks for the info.

Well, you could sign up on www.xStreetSL.com. They use Linden Lab's Risk API, so it's pretty safe, and their exchange rate is actually generally slightly better when buying L$.

Just create a banker alt. That's what i've done. You can buy more Lindens with your alt, and "pay" your other avi's.

Except that the banker alt will have the same limits, via LL, as the original account, but be a few days behind even.

I have started using Xstreet, primarily because the exchange rate is better.
