It has do to one of those blue popup windows and ask for your permission before it can take L$ from your account.

**ALWAYS** read the blue popups. **NEVER** agree to let it take money from you unless you're **SURE** you know what you're doing.

*grins* This particular scam is rather like a revolving door.. it keeps coming around and around. It'll pop up again in about two weeks, maybe sooner.

Just simply dropping something, no. As described, it has to get your permission first.

It's also known to circulate as a hoax at times in the guise of a social virus.; someone creates a throwaway alt, joins a few populous groups, and starts spamming the rumor to see how far and wide it goes. Kinda like dropping a pebble (or a boulder) into a pond. Sometimes it is done maliciously in order to lag out or crash chatrooms/chat servers/services.

as stated above you have to give it permission to suck your lindens

never click a bluebox untill you read it

theres been many discussion about making it different than any other blue box, but the fact is you could make that bugger neon red with a yellow border, 2 "are you shure?" boxes and blink, ppl would still click it without thinking
