I checked both my accounts, and they both say they don't have any credit card info on file. These are old accounts, with always the same CC card info in them.
I'm afraid to click the button to submit it again, though, because people have said that it won't take.
So - is the info REALLY in there, but just saying it isn't?

You could always try to buy some Lindens inworld and see if it fails or not.

The ability to use the whole Second Life financial system has been screwed up for the last week. (Okay, more screwed up than the usual screwed up.) I have periods of my account information appearing and disappearing, not being able to obtain Lindens when I find something I want to buy, having Lindens and not being able to pay them to anyone.
I think it's a part of that whole wacky Second Life, and when the problem is fixed, we will be informed that the financial system has been improved.
