My apology if this has already been discussed today. I was away on Saturday and Sunday and came back last night - logged in for a very brief time when scripts were disabled. I looked and my inventory was wiped out - the only thing left were the folders. I'm wondering if this may have been temporary (due to the scripts turned off???? - yes - I don't understand how most of this works) and I'm also wondering if anyone else had this happen. I had MANY expensive items I had purchased to furnish my home and had been saving until the house was completed and ready for decorating. This was a *significant* investment of cash and a tad bit frustrating.

I would definitely wait to panic until you get to log in again. I have heard of people seeming to have their inventory gone, only to log in later and see it. It may have simply been that SL was having a hard time connecting to the asset server.

I'd wait til the grid comes up, clear your cache (I know I suggest that a lot but for the oddest things it works sometimes) and try again. If that's still messed up, reinstall SL. If it's still missing, then contact a Linden.

Sounds like between the system being under attack, and the brief amount of time you were on, your inventory simply didn't have time to load. When you log in, the list of items in your inventory gets sent from a central asset server cluster to your client. Sometimes that can take a little while.

Once they get all the problems resolved, if your inventory is still gone, then by all means file a bug report, and call support on the phone. I suspect it will be there though.

No silly, I've had that happen to me before. It has something to do with your cashe. A helper at the online help line told me to just clear my cashe and restart and after I did that like twice all of my items appeared again. So when SL is back up and your items are still missing, just do that ^.^

Sure, people have inventory crises involving items going missing, but I wouldn't panic just yet. It could simply be that the inventory was failing to load when you got on -- presumably after the grid attack that took place about 20 hours ago? Incidentally that happened to me -- my inventory didn't even *start* loading for about ten minutes (nothing more than empty folders appeared). The database load must've been significant while everybody logged back on.

Good luck!

Understandable though. There's nothing like logging in to an empty inventory to make your heart skip a beat.
