Ok, so my friend and partly I built a blimp titled SS Albacore.

Now, this blimp is 90ish prims and we're trying to get it to fly. I know, the prim link limit is 31, right? I know very little about scripting, but willing to learn. I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

The Base question is..

Can a Hud be made to control an object? Liiiiikkee.. make an object fly?

If so, I had an idea. I never use huds, so this is all a theory for me. What if I attatched 30 prims per a hud. And then attatch 3 huds to my body making up the whole ship. So, then I could fly the entire ship. Is this possible?

thanks for the help. hopefully this'll work.

HUD objects are not visible in world so that won't work.

However there are many many vehicles that attach to 3-4 or more attachment points on your body, then use an animnation overrider to put your body in a fixed position thereby aligning all the parts. Then you just fly around.

Try looking up some vehicles that advertise themselves as having 200 prims or whatever, many of them are that way.

The other method involves a set of scripts collectively known as the "non-physical" or "nonphys" vehicle scripts.

In both cases, croiossig sim boundaries is much tougher than in normal vehicles though, useful maninly for single sim use.

Er, vehicles with like 200 prims as an attachment work fine. No worse than someone driving a 29 prim car enough wearing 600 prims of bling.
