Probably never. LL seems to enjoy taking away a feature with a promise of some new and improved version coming soon only to have the new version never show up. Why is it that every other company seems to understand the concept of not taking something needed and useful away before you have a suitable replacement. LL's management needs a good sourse in customer service and relations. A good course in basic business principles would not be amiss also. For all its bugs and technical issues SL will not die due to poor technology but due to poor business practices.

i use Firefox > linkification addon makes the not a problem for me. why not try the better browser?

In Opera, highlight the url, right click, and click the Go To Url option to open the link in the current tab, or shift click it to open the link in a new tab.
