Problem with prims... Can't put it on the ground anymore. Can anyone help?

Hey residents!
I have a huge problem since yesterday.... and perhaps anyone of you encoutered the same problem once or does know how to fix it.
I was working on a shoe in a public sandbox.. as it reminded me, that this box will be cleared soon.
So I linked my prims, renamed the shoe and took it.
later I wanted to continue with my work... but since then I can't rez the object on the ground anymore neither can I transfer it to others.. all the time the little crossed circle appears, when I try to put the shoe on the ground. By rightclicking on the item in my inventory... I can see, that I am the creator and owner. So it normally shouldn't be a problem. I can't even click in those little boxes to try it with copy or no copy and so on.
Please help me... I really don't want to start all over again!
Does anyone know a way to fix this problem?

Can you make a copy of it? I would make a copy, attach the copy to your avatar's body, right click the attached shoe, and select drop. That way, if it falls into the abyss of SL no return, it will have just been a copy.

Hube Humby Sometimes this happens to me in regions where the amount of lag or packet loss is high, try going to a nice quiet area that runs nice and smoothly and if build is enabled try placing it on the ground then. I would also say that you should try the previous reccomendation. |

Hey All!
Thank you for your ideas... but nothing helped so far...
I can't even make a copy and it's not possible to attach the shoe to my body (even tried all availlable spaces on my body... (c: ).
I found a nice quiet spot in sl... but even there, I can't drop it.
It's awfull!
So if anyone has some more ideas.... feel free to post it!

I have had something like this before... To put it in simple terms, something with the SL database got jacked up at the time you took the object. Its as if half the data is there and half is not and SL does not know what to do with it now. You could try a support ticket but I think your just going to end up getting a "Sorry, start over" answer.

Sometimes I get it for a few minutes. I think it's just the asset servers playing up.
Try dragging it from your inventory, but just keep hold of the mouse button until it changes from the crossed circle. Requires patience though, can take 5 minutes or more.
