Fall out of world, go under surface, cant fly almost can't move.
It is only me or it is the game?
Few more words about it. From same start I am in SL - I have the same - I try to go somewhere and all of sudden I am finding myself going like on invisible stairs up or down (and I am out of control of my avatar). Flaying is even worse. I cant fly at one direction more than maybe 3 seconds without losing control of AV and then landing in completly random place.
My computer has enough power to handle SL. Drivers are the newest ones (including BIOS), HDD defragmented, firewall configured according to SL knowledge database informations. Fast connection.
I will appreciate any tips how to solve it. thanks.

To me that sounds like a partial disconnection, which can have several possible causes, one being antivirus weirdness.

Didn't help. (I have to mention that in general - I have zero problems in flaying up/down or in building - no lag, no losing control over my avatar).

Are you still having this problem? Try posting in Technical Issues with your specs - there are some very knowledgeable people there.

Wireless home LAN connection? Flakey ISP connection? Or, even worse, 'a throttled' connection?

(actually I tested my problem more and longer - I practically cant fly - only up and down. the same about walking - always - losing control over AV and then long walk to anywhere). And any problems with other kind of online activity - including the ones where no lag/low ping/no packet lose/high bandwitch are vital. From: Alazarin Mondrian Wireless home LAN connection? Flakey ISP connection? Or, even worse, 'a throttled' connection? From: Bluee Bleac Fast connection.

Well now, that just begs the question, what kind of art do you routinely display in that border region?

Sounds to me like what happens when you cross a sim border. There's nothing you can do about it except just live with it, and hope you don't end up underground somewhere. Just in case, you might want to have a home teleport location.

Only teleports let me survive the game (edited - add): there is significant difference between flaying and walking - much less problems when I am walking From: SuezanneC Baskerville Regular viewer or First Look Windlight viewer?. the regular one (two core amd m2 3800, asus eax pro (ati) a1950, 2 Gig dual channel RAM, fast seagate hdd, sound blaster audigy, 1024mbit con -whole for me, no undeground aplications but antivirus and firewall)

I have had this happen to me too, but usually it works it self out. I assume it is some kind of connection problem that is out of my control. (on ISP's or SL's side)

(on ISP's or SL's side) Might have to do with the Colocation Handoff between sims ( one might be in Cali and the other in texas) or posibly just on the other side of the room, sence I am sure that there are even some bottle necks in that small of a area. But yea it happens, sometimes it happens beucse you go out beyond a sim border and out the the void before the view keeps you from doing so. Try to wait for a lag catch up (can still put you in odd places), or TP home. last resort would be to Log out and back in, posibly even with the home choice over last location.

soon another computer will be ready so I ll inform you about the effects - so we will know it is our or SL side problem. Thanks all who tried to help so far I think it could be something with the sim network (from observations of my connections). Or maybe just the management of the network (of sims) - at least once per hour my very sensitive firewall assumes Linden network try to DOS attack me. There is second thing about using SL - the ports mentioned in knowledge database as the ones needed for good connection aren't all ones we need. So - the network structure is changing and there is no updates on knowledge database or ... I just dont know.

As promised: With another computer seems there is no such problem. I checked all things and differences (the "new" one computer is in fact an old computer - a weaker one) and seems I found. Firewall - on my main computer there is a very good firewall. It works great and I have no problems with anything (including other online games) but SL. On the "new" computer there is a firewall, too but worse one but ... there is no such problem with SL - like the one I have on my better computer. What I found: the better firewall stops a lot of packets from linden network because the packets look suspicious for the firewall. Plus - the firewall found some ports SL wants to use but the ports aren't the ones mentioned in Lindens knowledge database. I found only one solution atm (I dont want to ruin my computer defense only because of SL): I changed things like: view distance, fog ratio etc. Now I am almost blind on my new computer but I can move. I think because there is much less information coming to my computer so there is less chance packets would be interpreted as malicious one. Conclusion: I feel comfortable with my good firewall and only SL (exactly - packets from Lindens network) produces such problems. I will wirte directly to sl support about it and the same to the firewall producer. I will inform what answers I will get. Thanks for all who were helping there Edited: I forgot to mention - the packet loss indicator usually shows 0 packet loss (I meant the inisde SL one in the upper left corner. The same with transmision - no problems)
