This is a new one never seen it before

It says "your account is undergoing minor maintenance and will be available at..."

is that the same as the your being logged out of second life one or whatever after you crash. I didn't crash though its the first login in the last err 8ish hours...

meh?

Did i break something or is something broken?

I had that a few days ago, telling me that I could log on in about 15 minutes. I tried half an hour later and everything was fine, but there was absolutely no indication of what was going on or why.

Most likely your account is being moved from one DB to another, or something to that effect. Just try again in 5 minutes.

Probably, but it gives you something to do while you're waiting for the LL to let you in :D

I had gotten this as well, I kept hoping it was just a new message to that "your account will be available at -time-" notice...but no, I had to actually DO something else and wait! *snorts* It was too frustrating, I took a nap.....or watched the clock to log in at the moment they said I could, whichever is more believable. :p

I'm also curious as to what it really is. I was worried that I would log back in to some huge inventory disaperance or some such panic inducing crisis. All was fine though, so whatever minor thing they had to do it came bug free. *knocks on wood*

Ohhh I had this a couple of days ago. I assumed they just meant the sim was restarting, not realising the difference.

BTW, 6 months in and I have never cleared my cache ... nope, not once! ;)

Bah... 6 months is pathetic, i am approaching nearly 2 years without clearing mine! Although I rarely experience any of the endless issues that most poeple moan about in the forum and SL runs smoother than a sand papered bottom, so never felt the need.

I got that message last weekend. After waiting five minutes to log back in, all of my old Inventory appeared as in the Recent column. I took that to mean that my login triggered a move of my inventory to a new database.

Beware - this is the message that preceded total inventory loss as mentioned here for some residents. Based on the messages I see here, it seems to have been a fairly focused occurance, but boy, what a massive loss for those affected by whatever it was that completely wiped inventories. I saw the message and quickly canceled my log-in because I was so scared  Dunno if those inventories are now restored for the folks in the article there.
