My view of my avatar has become a higher and sharper angle - how can I change this? Obviously I can use Ctrl+Alt to change the standing view - but as soon as I walk I'm looking down at a 45 degree angle angle - hopeless for anything that requires looking at walls like shopping...
Thanks

Are ypu wearing any scripted attachments? Scripts can take camera controls and force a particular camera view. Try removing attachments and see what happens.

I would assume you've tried restarting SL, if not, you should try that.
You might have an attachment that is affecting your camera, if so, should be able to detach the object and if needed restart SL and the camera should return to normal.
If you have the Client menu showing you can adjust the default camera location and focus positions, in the event you have somehow misadjusted them.
In Client / Debug Settings, the default camera offset from the avatar position is called CameraOffsetDefault. The default values for this variable are: X = -3.000 Y = 0.000 Z = .75
In Client / Debug Settings, the default camera focus offset is called FocusOffsetDefault . The default values for this variable are: X = 1.000 Y = 0.000 Z = 1.000
Hope that helps.
If you don't have the Client menu showing, press Control Alt D. (if that doesn't work use control alt shift D)

It's funny, I had this problem yesterday after using a 'camera follow' utility - since then I have reset and rebooted and regained my normal settings. Today - this problem recurred for no apparant reason when I visited a quite laggy shopping area - while reading your post SL crashed and when I restarted it was right again!?
But those settings are exactly what I was expecting to find somewhere and I have confirmed that mine are now correct. i noted a reset to default button which will be useful if this problem returns.
Thanks

Yay, thanks Suezanne! I've always wanted to be able to see ahead instead of the default staring in front of my feet at the floor... Much nicer!
