Does anyone know what the following message means?

"Money Transfer denied becuase the request was stale."

I am getting this when I try to purchase something - usually takes a few minutes for the notice to show up and the sale is obviously not successful.

Any clues to it's meaning will be appreciated.

Thanks.

It sometimes happens when SL is slow or your packetloss is high. Generally keep trying, and you will succeed. It is because the request time out.
Its noone really denying you, its a bug.

Problem with stale transaction is if you don't get paid by a slot machine for example, the owner of the machine does not have any record of your loss.

It is really getting to be a pain today.

I just got this same error message when trying to pay my weekly rental for my vendor at a mall. Am also unable to teleport anywhere at all, so I'm thinking its SL being slow as well.

I lost a $2000 winning at a blackjack table because of that. I know that's only like $7 or $8 in real money, but still....

I've also been getting a couple of stale transactions or no responses within the past hour or so (in low traffic areas). However, the grid has been acting up this afternoon. Packet loss has been flakier than usual and it looked like the online pop was peaking over 26,000.

And now just saw it's down for "maintenance."

Could a couple thousand of you no-paying dancepad campers log out so we can make our transactions today?

I generally get income through-out the day and I've noticed that sometimes lately my account page on the SL website shows a higher balance than my in world balance. Today I have had the complete opposite, the account page is about 6 hours behind my in world balance. Ive also had a few customer try and purchase items but they couldn't via the usual right click and buy method. They have IM'd me, paid me directly and i have sent the items. One customer told me they had paid and the amount had been deducted from their account, but i didn't receive the payment and it didn't show up in in their transaction history, i gave them the item anyway as they are a regular customer but LL sure make it hard to run a business.

I also wonder if people purchase items and I never receive the cash...anyone else paranoid about this?

I wonder how long it will be before one of the larger business's sue Linden Lab for loss of earnings.
