Someone going by the name [edited] is going to be reviewing all sims in alphabetical order. She basically reviews the sims and writes about it on her website. She also reviews sims that not completed and rates them. The thing of why i'm writing this is.. she does not ask permission if she can review the land. Just giving a heads up that.. if anyone doesnt want there sim getting auto-reviewed by a person and getting it put on a website then please ban Blue Cassady to your sim parcels. I'm quite pissed that she did this. Also.. I imed her moments later and asked her to pull the review and she would not do so. All I got from her was this:
[edited] She fails at being a journalist if she does not ask permission first.

I support your right to ban her.
I also support her right to wander where she wants and write about what she wants.
And she does not need anyone's permission (mine included) to do so.

actually, it is private property if you are the sim owner. she DOES need your permission to write about it.

Just like in real life: no.
I could stand on the sidewalk next to someone's real life house, and write about it on the morning paper, without anyone's permission.
It's called freedom of speech.

I just think its pretty rude for her to do such a thing. She said she was going to write about the sim. I did not tell her yes. Usually if I want to write a review about someones propertly I ask them nicely. Hell, the sim wasnt even done yet for her to review it and it pisses me off that she did this. Thats like her reviewing a game in its BETA state. Meaning its not finished. Ontop of that she was very rude in the IM as you can see.

-peekay If you were the reviewer and someone asked you to please pull the review because it is not done yet, would you do so? or would you say NO like in the IM she said?

you are right, she can write about what she can see from the sidewalk. she can NOT write about what she sees from the front yard. so unless she is standin in linden sim, looking into your sim, she need permission to write.

Correct, and she is not writing mainland stuff. She is writing private sims only :\

On a bit of an offtopic sidenote I am actually somewhat surprised the Lindens haven't locked this thread for violating several forum rules including privacy and for attacks </sidenote>
Actually your wrong about the public land thing, as long as she's on someone else's sim presumably with their permission it's no different than her being on linden land to do it though she can be on your sim and write about it and there isn't anything you can really do about it other than ban her and without camera restraints that won't stop her.

Thats why i'm posting here. So other people can throw this person a ban if they don't want a forced review of there unfinished work? Also I couldn't find any other forum that would be better for this. It's not attacks.. its just a heads up.

Of course she can. In real life she could be charged with trespassing -- *if* there is a no trespass sign clearly visible on said property. But she could still publish about what she saw. Freedom of speech is a bitch ain't it. -peekay

Locking this thread for three reasons. 1) Posting of an IM. IM's are private, you cannot post them. 2) Addressing a thread at a specific user. Private discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc. 3) RA forum abuse. This forum is for asking question to which you seek answers that will help in your enjoyment of Second Life and the enjoyment of others, not posting announcements.
