Whatever the heck the lindens did to the messaging system in this new update it's all fooked up! I'm undocking "near me" or whatever the heck the local chat box is, and then i click the [X] for that, and let it go away, Fine, it's undocked, it's closed, everything's great.
But then someone says something, and i click the blue history button, and it pops up the entire "communicate" crap again and it's automatically RE-DOCKED NEAR ME, and it won't STAY UN DOCKED. PLEASE add an option to disable this, i want old chat back! *Cries*

why don't you just ignore the 'near me' tab? I generally never even open it, and leave the IM or contacts tab open instead.

all of the text said by other standing around me is routed to 'near me', all of the local 'history' goes into 'near me' now, it has to be seen. Maybe i'll just install an older version and never update.

Unless I open the near-me menu, I never see it. What exactly is your issue? Post screen shots mayhaps to better illustrate your problem.

Pop out near me using the little button with an arrow. It persists and will not go back in, so chat history is separate. In the meanwhile, wait for Nicholaz' voice viewer.
