REALLY dumb question maybe ...

The object 'Second Life' has sent you a message from Second Life:
Your object 'Landmarks' has been returned to your inventory lost and found folder by CENSORED from parcel 'Chocolat - Romance and more!' at Odessa Graceful 240.19, 239.579 due to parcel owner return.

= Second Life is owned by CENSORED
= Location unknown.

I have a little thing for landmarks as a newbie giveaway, but unless the av was added to the group she shouldn't have been able to put something down on the land ... so ... either she tried to and it was returned to me as the owner, or some random av I don't know now owns my land and all the objects on it but didn't like that one or somehow she has enabled return objects on that one ...

OR she clicked on it and then declined the actual object itself ...

I am guessing the last one, but had enough strange things happen recently to wonder!!

If someone declines an inventory offer, the item isn't returned to you. It ends up in the recipient's trash folder.
You'll only get such a system message / email when the land owner manually returns a prim object to you. It's a different wording when it happens due to autoreturn, or because the parcel is full. Perhaps the new land owner simply returned all objects on the land.

BUT ...

IT IS MY LAND!!!!

I am almost scared to go home and see what has happened to Chocolat. If anything has then the entire hemisphere of a hissy fit will be thrown. And he'll throw one in German I suspect (which I might even understand these days!)

I should explain ... it was not for sale ...

Do you have the land set to a group with Auto Return on and then maybe placed an item out that wasnt set to group? That would have been auto returned to you...or maybe was the item near the border and crossing over to someone elses land and a Linden returned it? Just tossing out ideas...GL!

I've been getting this since the weekend. First of all I found half my store building and items missing, auto return isn't set on my land. I also discovered yesterday that my land had been set to ban anyone outside the group, not set by me but now I've tightened up group security.

However on Monday or Tuesday I received a message from a mall that lots of my items had been returned to me, I thought I'd forgot to pay the rent and was a bit peeved but arrived at the mall to discover all my items were still there, so I left a little confused and im'd the mall owner.

Then later on another renter on the same mall im'd me to tell me that my vendors were in his shop and could I remove them, these vendors were all empty and mine were still in my shop so I guess this was related to the returned items that I'd had an email about earlier.

So I'm confused as to what is going on but I'd definitely suggest ensuring that any group settings are examined for people being able to openly join or return objects.

In my case mystery solved.

Censored name in the post was not someone I knew of or part of the land group I am in either but she IS employed as an Estate Manager and it was an accident ...

Phew! But I and the Estate Owner have absolutely no idea why she was there, apologies were given ... I think she was just having a look and hit the wrong thing maybe?

Scary tho.
