Is LL not releasing any more new mainland SIMs? They were releasing about 8 new SIM a day for the past few days and I haven't see any listed for tomorrow or day after.
Are they going to surprise us with a whole bunch at once than releasing 8 a day? Or are they working on another approach to bring the land prices down? To me this seems like the land price is going up...

I wouldn't count on a very large sim drop. LL seems to be addicted to getting 3k per sim. They may surprise us though.

I think they are hoping to "get" a lot of the barons. They will have a bunch of land they bought at a higher price as the value increased with the lack of the 8 per day. Then when they release 40 sims at once and a few more days of 8, they hope to break the land baron's back.

Unless they plan on releasing 20 sims per day I don't see a huge drop in land prices.

Won't mean anything unless we see 20 every day for the next two weeks.

From: Dnate Mars I think they are hoping to "get" a lot of the barons. This is totally absurd, what interest does LL have in "getting" anyone?

From: Elanthius Flagstaff This is totally absurd, what interest does LL have in "getting" anyone? 30 or so people per mainland sim paying $6-$10 per month plus a few more paying the extra $5 or whatever to get themselves a 1024 they could justify spending on, instead of not doing that and staying on basic and renting from someone who pays only 195/295 to Linden Lab each month per sim. etc. But the only way prices can drop is if someone somewhere/everywhere loses, and loses big. It's like an arms race.
