Can't stop the "music"

I apologise if my terminology is incorrect, but here is my question.... How can I stop videos from playing?

Wandering around in SL you come across places that have music and/or videos streaming. If I want to hear them, I click on the play button at the bottom centre of my screen. If I want to stop listening, I click the stop button. So far so good. But sometimes in certain places the video stream starts playing without any input from me. And even when I hit stop the stream starts up again usually at the beginning of the next video.

Is there a preference setting to stop this happening? Or am I doomed to have to listen to the start of brainless, dime-a-dozen, pseudo-R&B videos?

"Wazzup? Yea, yea." *beat* *beat* *beat* <<CLICK>>

Just go to your preferences, you can do this by going to edit on your tool bar and selecting preferences or by holding down control and P. Go to the Audio and video tab and uncheck the box that says "play streaming video when available" and select apply. Video will never show up for you again until you go into preferences and re-check that box when you want to see video :)
