Group land tier?

My sister has just become a premium member, and wants to buy her first 512 sq meter of land. I live on estate land, and am currently not using my alloted 512.

I was thinking of buying a 512 next to her to give her more land and more prims to play with. However, I want her to have all permissions on my land as well. If we create a group, and then donate each of our 512s to the group, we will still not have any tier payments, am I correct?


I have played SL for quite a while now, but am totally confused about land ownership on the mainland. Her husband will be quite upset if she ends up with a tier payment, so I want to make sure I am guiding her correctly. Thanks.

That's right - apart from your Premium membership, you will have no extra fees.

Yes, this is confusing as h**l! Just wait for factoring in the 10% group bonus.

I am currently managing two groups where a couple of residents contribute plus individual ownership of said residents. Figuring out who needs to allocate how much to each group when new land is bought is ... complicated.

You also have the added bonus that groups actually get a 10% bonus to tier. So, if you each donate 512 = 2x 512 = 1024, you actually get an extra 10% = 102 sq m, for a total of 1,126 sq m available to the group. (Though, I don't know how many 1,126 sq m parcels there are out there, lol.)
