I have a group of which i am listed as the owner, and an officer
According to the group menu, the owner has full abilities to change things in the group, including roles and titles of roles, but when i highlight the owners name (mine) i find the 'delete role' button greyed out.
I wish to delete a title from the roles list, and untimately to remove a member from the list, but it seems the owner does not have this ability which is puzzling.
The two officers of the group have the button usable... even though it says that they have more limited powers than the owner.... what am i doing wrong?
Any advice gratefully received.

Imogen, I'm not clear on this. You are trying to delete yourself? You are owner. A group must have one surely?

The "owner" role and "Everyone" can not be deleted. Ever. Period. Good reasons for this.
However, you can change the title of the "owner" role (and "Everyone" role). To do so you jsut type in the new title on the Group page. I believe it is on the main tab, but have not done this for some time so am not sure.
I also believe you can not have that group active at the time, so select another group to have active, or select the none option, work on your group, then reactivate it. I do know that changes to titles will not change until a person either relogs, or toggles groups.
