Concierge - who is entitled to this assistance?

I have searched the SL Knowledge base for concierge and found only an email address, almost no information on who is entitled to assistance from them and what assistance can be expected.

I have been told that since I own over half a sim on the mainland that I should be able to get thier assistance. Can anyone point me to where I can find out more about what they can do for me?

Thanks

You know who does qualify and who doesn't is pretty confusing. When it first started I owned over half a sim but becuase it was in multiple regions was told I didn't qualify. I have heard in more recent days that wasn't true anymore. Of course I no longer own much mainland land so its moot.

I do know from the island I manage for my RL partner he does get concierge. Bsically he has a different phone number to call and a list of lindens to contact with sim problems. We haven't had to use it much recently so with the general changes in customer service I am not at all certain how much help it is.

If you pay more than $125 per month in land maintenance fees, you are entitled to Concierge service.

Small addition: If you pay more than $125 per month in land maintenance fees to Linden Labs, you are entitled to Concierge service.

:) Good distinction. Harmony Linden is on the concierge team and has been very helpful and friendly with me. Good luck!

I wrote a bot to search for that number.

If you become a concierge user by buying an island, then on your first login after the island is ready, you have a folder dropped into the root of your inventory called "A Private Island" (with the quotes) which contains a set of notecards, one which has the Concierge number. (If I recall correctly, this folder isn't "given" to you in the normal way - you don't get notified and can't refuse - it just appears.)

I don't know how it would work for mainland owners but you could try searching your Inventory, especially for notecards, just to make sure.

Hmm when I got my island in March, no folders or notecards magically appeared in my inventory. :-(

Maybe they don't do this any more?

I did get a very nice email though telling me that it had been delivered and there was some other info in the email.

I sent you the folder and the number, since the one's that in the notecards isn't valid anymore :).

Like others have said, if you own at least 1/2 mainland sim you're entitled, but I've heard you have to request to be considered for concierge. (For example, a lot of major mainland land owners never got notified about that concierge party they had a couple months ago even though they were technically entitled.) Just email concierge@lindenlab.com.

Also, I never got that folder (or the phone number) with my island either. I just got the Private Estate Guide PDF file.

The estate guide is now online in the knowledge base.
Its called the "Guide to Private Islands'. You can find it at:

http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=93

The Concierge staff have been really good...both over the phone, and with online panic IM's for immediate help.:)

Like the rest of the Lindens' customer service, they've fallen into the tar pit of automated email responses. I suggest you use a crisp subject line on your emails.
For example:
don't say, "Question for you".
Instead say, 'Cant find MAJOR LAG source on island'.
Make it easy for the automated filter to figger out what to do!;)
