Account disabled?

a new account created the day before the release of 1.15 bleh on Tuesday has been disabled, worked fine on Tuesday, then since the new release yesterday, has been disabled, says to go to the blog for help, nothing there, says try support, but no responses! and alas no answer from helpline!!! any ideas? i had $12000L + various other items in the account, and NO HELP from the lindens!!

When you say disabled, what do you mean? Do you get an error? Does it just not connect?

I suggest try again and check your password and user name in main account page or within game. If this account really has disabled call LL during PST time business hours.

Same thing happened to me about 6 months ago. Account disabled for no reason. LL took all my money. L$58000. You shouldn't have a problem reactivating your account, however, your money will probably be gone forever. Good luck, you'll need it dealing with LL.

A friend of mines account was disabled a few weeks ago and we still haven't got that resolved. LL ignores every email, IM, and call we both make. We even had other friends call in and they got nowhere. The friend received no email about why the ban occurred, and has been put on LL's permanent ignore list apparently. ;/ All i can do is wish you luck on this, and tell me if you succeed at getting it back. I'd like to know how you would have accomplished it.

Is this really common behavior on their part to charge you for Lindens and deactivate accounts?
How often does this happen? Really, really scary if they are doing this on regular basis.

I created an ALT account the day before yesterday (thinking that maybe I wouldn't be able to after they instituted the credential requirement)

I was able to log in this morning with no problem so I hope that doesnt' happen to me.

To FD spark - I don't think statistics are kept for that sort of thing and you make it seem like LL is doing it on purpose to 'steal' money - if thats not what you meant fine, but be aware that text doesn't include intonation and you come across that way.

Only time this happen to me was 2 times my account from 2002. I lost information and couldn't reactivate it.
Second time when I put in wrong information or there was internet internet issue and it was lasted short time.
I asked because I am new and I have heard some really scary things and recently I have experienced few major annoying clitches reccently with my account that I can't prove either way. I am not trying to accuse anyone of wrong doing or stealing. At this point if it would happen to me I would lose around 700 usd or more on what I spent on land. That is incredibly frightening. It would very upsetting if I lost everything and was out of luck. It interesting though how many times I hear of similar things people losing things of high value. Losing 18k is a lot too.
