Ok, so we now have 'Contingency Measures to Ensure Service' in place...

The question is, how 'kin bad do things have to get before someone presses the big red button? Or are LL still relying on the 'oh this is crap - I'm logging off' system of 'resolving' issues and just not bothering with the new system?

The last week has been bloody awful - the grid's clearly been overloaded - and I have yet to see any sign of the new 'system' being used. Anyone know different?

People always assume that the problems are simply due to the grid being "overloaded". Over the past week I have been getting exactly the same level of problems whatever the current number of logins. Maybe it's not that simple. Go figure!

I've been trying to log in for over a half hour since I accidentally logged myself out when trying to close a window. I've never had this kind of trouble logging in - I've tried my main, my alt, different locations, another computer - nothing. I can get anywhere on the internet I want to go except for in-world.

Did they put the contingency measures in place and screw up to DIS-allow premium members from logging in? Is it just me? Has my luck just plain run out? I was just fixin' to go down and meet and greet some customers since I just announced a new product and people were actually showing up!
