I have a very good friend in SL who I trust without limit... we know each other RL for a very long time now.

We kinda share my house. I gave her editing rights.

But what I would like for her that she could set her home-point to my house and handle/operate the things I only can do now (like the slide-show of pictures I have in my house. She can add pictures to it, but she can operate it any futher.

Is there a simple way to do is?

You need to deed any items you would like to share to the group. You really do not have to deed the land unless you want the group officers to be able to edit the land also.

You can set your home point to anywhere you like. From the World menu click "Set Home to Here".

Creating the group and sharing things worked :).

But we she tries to set her home-point she gets a message that it only can be done on land you own or near an info-hub.

Within the Group settings are Abilities. These allow persons to do many many things within the group and with group land/objects.

I'm not possitive, but I believe there are Abilities pertaining to Setting Home Point. The list of Abilities is quite long and I don't remember all of them. I would suggest a slow, careful look at each set, or simply include your friend in the OWNER role of the group. By default, she would be in the eVERYONE role.

PS If that still doesn't work, file a Bug Report on not being able to set land. She should be able to on group land.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

I've bugged this a ton. I can't reset my home point and haven't been able to for about 3 months now. I still tp home to an empty plot I once had and have tried to reset. Thankfully the new owner of the plot understands and since nothing is on it, there's not that big of a deal, so at least I can tp somewhere low lag to log on and off at.

I thought you had to have the group active in order to set your home position to group owned land.

I've changed groups, set groups, moved groups, started a new group, everything I could think of, setting home to a public place that allows it, joining that group.... it's a mystery. And obviously, due to the latest stability, not high on the list of fixes.
