I'm disappointed that this bug has not been fixed - or even acknowledged for almost 48 hours since first reported. I've therefore placed an in-world demonstration of the problem at the following SLURL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/november/202/244/81/?title=Inventory%20Loss%20DemonstrationThe demonstration takes the form of a large (pink!) sign-board. Click the sign board, and you will be given an object called "pixel revolution". Do not rez the object - merely confirm that it exists in your inventory. Then log out. Log in again and check your inventory. The "pixel revolution" object will be gone. Please try the demonstration, and report your findings back here. I hope that by creating a easily-reproduced example of this problem, and verifying with as many people as possible that the problem exists, that the lindens will take notice and fix the issue before any more high-value content is lost. Thanks, Shep K.

I tested it and can confirm that the inventory bug works as described. Nice idea, Shep - First test: received the prim object, checked my object folder and it was there, relogged and it was gone. - Second test: received it, rezzed it (there's really no script in there... just had to check ), relogged again: the deleted prim was still in my trash, the original (has copy perm) was gone from the objects folder. - Third test: after receiving the prim I moved it to another folder. Relogged, still there. I repeated test 1-3 a second time, with the exact same results. Please, Lindens, can we get an announcement inworld that asks all residents to move purchased wares to a new folder after using a vendor?.

successfully reproduced and bug reported...thanks. Great idea!
Completely blows my mind that NOBODY from LL has even acknowledged this on the blog or forums. Even a "we acknowledge that there may be a problem, unfortunately we cannot get on this until Monday" Well it's Monday, 3 Linden Answer posts by Robin and still no acknowlegement of this.
Yet a permissions exploit gets a team out of bed and the grid shut down...
Hey LL...guess what this hurts creators as much as that exploit could have. Well maybe not quite as bad, but it's going to be an annoyance for them to figure out who paid for what and then replace those items if you can't get it back for them.

all i have to say is fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck secondlife.
I just lost a whole pack of AOs.
It wasnt recently purchased but it was the kind you attach to yourself and they rotate, its been attached to me forever but stopped listing in my inventory for about the past few days. finally it unattached itself from me and is completely gone. i have even went as far as to reinstall secondlife but its still gone.
there are so many different versions of missing inventory, from the specific way mentioned in this thread, to missing items after a return (And no it is not the items being bundled together, they are actually going missing).......to my problem. its insane
for the first time ever i am PISSED OFF at this game.
I was told to do a bug report and IM kona linden, i doubt anything will be done so now my only option is to go back to abranimations and purchase all of my AOs again, i shouldnt have to do this, and i wont do this.
and the people who have lost tons of L in missing items shouldnt have to either
this is ridiculous

From: Shep Korvin I'm disappointed that this bug has not been fixed - or even acknowledged for almost 48 hours since first reported I can tell you that I reported it more than 48 hours ago, both on the Forums and via a bug report. Maybe it's only been common knowledge for about 48 hours, but the problem has existed longer than that. Perhaps it just wasn't as wide-spread before
