I bought quite a lot of items at slexhange last night while at my RL work(lol, hi boss), I recieved confirmation emails for all items, I paid for them but when I went in world this morning I hadnt recieved a single item, I cleared catch, rebooted, logged in again, downlowed the inventory and u properly can guess it, nothing.
So I wrote to the slx people, to linden, etc. no reply, as those ladies n gentleman dont seem to work over the weekend.
Had anyone the same problem, or u even know what to do(except buying it all again/forget it or wait till I grow a beart)?

cheers

SL Exchange is very clear about the risk in ordering items when you are not inworld to receive them. You have to specifically approve the warning message and tell them to deliver anyway.

If your IMs were capped, it's possible the items could not be delivered properly. Lindens can't help you with this; it's a matter for the SL Exchange customer support.

very true beebo... yes, albeit slExchange and slBoutique might make you think it's safe to sl-shop 'offline' (off the grid) - you -must- be inworld to accept the delivery of these items. :\

slExchange though has a good crew - although they don't work weekends i'm sure while they can;) - find their support email address and write them about your dilemma. they should be able to rectify your missing deliveries.

What is this nonsense?

You don't have to be inworld to accept delivery of items! Anyone who is having trouble receiving the items they have ordered from one of the shopping sites should just get in touch with the site. Both will work with you to make sure you receive the item you ordered.

They are right, they do warn that you should be logged in before making any purchase. I would just contact SLExchange. They will have a record of the transaction or you might even want to contact the product ower as they too will have a record of the transaction. SLExchange is a great little company so I am sure they will take care of it for you.

I am an avid customer of SLX. Many many times has SL been a little rocky, and I have not received my items. Also, never click buy if you are in busy or away mode. There is a forum system on the site. Find the forum button (i believe top right corner), enter the technical problems section of the forums, and make a thread stating the exact name of everything you bought and didn't receive. A moderator will check over your account history and resend the missing items. They may require you to IM them while in world if the items are no copy to assure delivery; they will respond in the thread and let you know. They have excellent customer service.

P.S. Never buy too many things at once from SLX; they can get backed up. Do not buy things when SL performance is sub par. You do not necessarily have to be in world to receive purchases from SLX, but it is a good idea.

No! Since when?

I CAN'T be logged on when I order things from SLE! They do say that you should not be logged on and in BUSY mode, but that is different from not being logged on!

*nods* Also, if you didn't receive your item, you may want to IM the seller of the item too, because it is usually faster than either SLExchange, who are far faster than the Lindens ;)

Most sellers have no problem sending on another copy of the item, especially if it's no transfer.

Bought quite a bit of stuff from these sites. The only time I had an issue was when I accidently said 'No' I dont want whatever it was. As for capped messages or whatever, Im not that popular therefor rarely have the problem, so dont know what would happen in that situation. This should be an easily correctable setback once you drop the parties in question a line.

:\ slExchange had direct support to handle missing deliveries inworld. as it is their mechanism to 'question' if used, then please contact them for missing items. (i will support and rectify situations using my own in-world vendors np. using slExchange, please contact their support services.)

from http://uncensored.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=20 ...

"If Your Purchase is not Delivered

There are a number of factors beyond our control that can cause purchases to go undelivered.

If you purchase an item and your account is charged, but you do not receive the item in-world within a few minutes, you can contact us via email at support@slexchange.com. Make sure you include your account name and the item(s) that you purchased. We will redeliver the item(s) once we verify each purchase.

Please do not wait to contact us. We will only honor redelivery requests within 7 days of purchase."

and please, please -do- be inworld if you're using their services. sorry what someone else says; i'm telling from experience (and i still like and use slExchange - precisely because they will handle any problems making deliveries from their service;). buying something inworld anymore can be a chancy experience from a very laggy area, let alone using a service trying to deliver from the web into sl to you if you're not inworld. (there's no accounting for gridlag. i don't make sl.;) to paraphrase apollo 13, 'you're telling me what you need; i'm telling you what i got. i'm not making this stuff up...')

"As for capped messages or whatever, Im not that popular therefor rarely have the problem, so dont know what would happen in that situation. This should be an easily correctable setback once you drop the parties in question a line.
"

;) popular items make for 'popular' sellers, with lots of ims to keep up with on a daily basis. it's a volume prob, and depends on how much customer service a lone creator handles. don't rely on just one message going unanswered for a few days - recontact the seller if need be! i recently had a very anxious customer who seemed to had thought i was ignoring them, when i simply had not received any previous correspondence from them (presumably all eaten by the big grid).

to make direct comparison of the shopping experience from rl to sl is erroneous... if anything, the seller is at a disadvantage without a truly rugged and trustworthy inworld confirmation of the llGiveInventory function (a simple TRUE/FALSE upon delivery confirmation). (the buyer can also possibly be subject to purchase without delivery, which same said function could provide support for, for vendors in- and off-world.)

heheh you're thinking too much like a programmer!!;) they mean sorta -exor- i guess, in this case... you should be logged in and -not- in busy mode to receive deliveries;)

you must be...
((LOGGEDIN == TRUE) && (BUSY != TRUE))

Just have to say, while it MAY be a good idea to be logged in before purchasing, you do NOT have to be. Out of the 606 items I have purchased from SLX, I have only been in world for about 40% of them when I purchased them.

The main reason to be in world is (1) Not have your messages capped, and (2) so you can tell if the grid is too laggy to support the purchase of anything, regardless from where. :)
