Up to the latest version or two of SL there was a debug setting that governed the F1 browser's home page, called HtmlHelpHomepage. This allowed one to make the F1 keystroke bring up something worthwhile, like the LSL wiki, or Google, or such, instead of the help info designed for beginners.
This setting appears to have been removed. Anyone able to confirm this? Anyone know if it's been redefined? Is this perhaps part of the process of giving us even greater access to an improved Mozilla browser?

Yes, I noticed it is gone now, and I found another one that was similar-sounding in nature (HelpHomeURL), but changing it doesn't work.
Stealth nerfs to our ability to get things done is rather annoying.

Found it. There's a file C:\Program Files\SecondLife\skins\xui\en-us\floater_html_help.xml with a line that reads: From: someone <web_browser bottom="40" follows="top|left|bottom|right" font="SansSerifSmall" name="html_help_browser" right="-15" top="-55" start_url="http://secondlife.com/app/help/" /> The "http://secondlife.com/app/help" can be replaced with something else, like Google, as shown below: From: someone <web_browser bottom="40" follows="top|left|bottom|right" font="SansSerifSmall" left="15" name="html_help_browser" right="-15" top="-55" start_url="http://google.com" /> Or create your own web page with links to the sites of your choice. The start_url is the home location, so the first time you use this you need to press home to make the browser go the url you provide.

I am still haiing issues with my pop up communicates even after I reinstalled. I can't reset, I can't add even after reinstalling. I wrote help and they said relog, when I told them I have relogged numerous times they said either contact LL or do it manually. It started for me about 2 updates or about month ago too. Prior to that I could click buy lindens and go to page, click links within chat window and now I can't

FD, I don't think your problem is related to what this thead is about.
Did you do a complete uninstall of SL before reinstalling, including uninstalling all versions you might have like the beta grid version of SL as well as the regular version?
What browser do you have set as your default browser?
You say clicking links in the chat doesn't work - exactly how does it not work? Does nothing happen at all? Does it call up your browser?

I can't get Lsl wiki, manage account under f1 either thats why I added my experience to your post...hoping maybe you or someone would know why this is happening.. I don't have default browser. I really really dislike internet explorer. I either use mozilla or aol's. The problem started when they updated internet explorer for me. I can see links in chat but when I click them nothing happens. I can't change settings in prefences in communication. Nothing pop ups I use to get the forum or main account website, knowledge base. I uninstalled Second Life and reinstalled settings in pop up communications are still the same, I can't add anything no matter how many times I select and apply and relog. The only links that work are in web section in profile. I assumed I did complete uninstall when I uninstalled the program. What am I missing? Thanks and I am sorry if this is totally off topic.
