I've been thinking about this all weekend so I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this. I have land in Gnoma, which I think is an older sim. I'm wondering if it can be upgraded to a better server to improve performance. So this is a two-part question:
1) How do I determine the server class of a sim? Is there a way for me to check if Gnoma is on an older server?
2) Can I request LL upgrade the sim to a new server? I'm assuming if this is doable then they'll charge us for the service; I have no problem with that. I'm just curious if LL even entertains such requests.

I know of no way to determine what glass server your sim runs on.
Mainland sims are all owned by LL and they would upgrade it on whatever schedule they have put in place for doing so and you will not be charged for this as you do not "own" it.
[anger]Contacting LL with your concerns might make a difference but lately LL has been ignoring all customers and providing the absolute lowest level of customer service they possibly can so I would hold out little hope. If you need a higher level of performance you could either rent land on a private sim or purchase one of your own. You will find that paying thousands of dollars to LL in sim purchase and monthly maintainence fees will get you not one speck more support from LL than if you were the newest of freebie accounts.[/anger]
