Hi,
first time posting so be gentle lol.
I just wanted to know if it was possible to rent a 1/4 sim with only 1500 prim, simply because i am building houses and need somewhere for people to be able to come and rez them from a vendor. This would take up maximum 700 prims and I would need another 800 for a platform where we can build. The reason i need a 1/4 sim is because one of my builds is a castle which needs 1/4 sim to sit on.
Failing that is it possible to rent 1500 prims with just a 1/4 sim sized platform in the sky?
If it is possible, how much is it likely to cost and do you know of anyone who does this sort of thing?
Thanks for your time

Anything is "possible" ... You may be able to get a landlord to agree to some sort of deal. This could work, for example, with a homestead that someone has quartered for rental.....tho 1500 is going to be higher then 1/4 sim allowance of a homestead. On the other hand....it's considerably lower then a standard sim which is why I'm thinking you 'might' have luck with homstead rental options. You might want to just look for homesteads.....talk to a few different landlords.....maybe folks here can give you some reputable references. Also, perhaps posting in the 'wanted' section of classifieds....As for cost, I have no idea....I know the typical homestead runs about 38000L per month (give or take) so 1/4 of that.......roughly 10000L per month. But again.... you need to just hoof it and start looking around the grid.

Yes you can.
What region owners can do, is boost their 'prim multiplier' such that you may end up with say, "more prims" according to the land tab, but you'll simply agree not to go over your limit.
Recommend: Serra Anansi and/or Charlene Trudeau if interested in something like this; they are both merchants as well as land baronesses, and will 'get it' with regard to what you are trying to do. Copy the URL of this thread so they can see what you are talking about. Pretty sure one or both of them can help you. You might also consider a 'homestead' with them, because what you really need is moderate prims and lots of area.
Some other people might have other recommendations, see what you can find. Good luck!

Yes I think it is possible, a normal 1/4 sim on mainland is 3750 prims and that would cost you around 4,500 Linden week, some places do accomadate lower prims, we do, im me if you want any more info

Out of curiosity - how would someone go about doing this?

They'd have to take a loss - 1500 prims is almost half of a homestead's prims, and if you have anyone else as a neighbor, they won't be able to use the maximum amount of prims under a bonus.
See about renting half a homestead, then you'd have the space and prims needed.

So what would be the advantage for a landlord in doing that (with the quarter sim), and how would they be able to?
I'm guessing only those baron/esses with scads of sims would be able to, since they had an extra quarter sim lying about. But I dunno.

Hi thanks for the responses, I will be sure to make a note of the names suggested and yours Soar . I already rent 1/4 homestead for just under 2000 L$ which i think is a pretty good price. However until I start making steady sales ( if that ever happens) I really can't afford to be paying out for more prims than I need I'm not sure but i would imagine a sim owner could do this if they had for example, a lot of green space on their sim and so had spare prims. Hence why i mentioned a platform in the sky although I probably dont know what im talking about as I'm not a sim owner lol. Ive sold a couple of my castles and my freebie seems to be going pretty well but fingers crossed i sell a few more, get some good reviews then i can go ahead and get more prims . In the meantime, thank you very much for all your answers Kohkoh
