if you do, do u have black land under ur water when u have atmospheric shaders switched on?

i am thinking of buying this card becasue the one i have atm gives me black water when i have shaders turned on but i need to know if this one i want to buy will give me black water too before i buy it.

I have this card and it seems to work well for SL. As far as the black waters with shaders turned on... can't help you on that one since I don't have shaders switched on... lol. Good card though at a good price.

Sure. I will do this tonight when I get home from work and you can TP me to where you are so I can be your little test dummy ;)

Duncan (End scarcasm runtime now... lol)

Do me a favor, send me an IM in world so when I log in I will remember to do this lol

If Duncan does not get to it I may be able to test this for you tomorrow, but not tonight. I have the 8400GS in a PCI express x16 slot driving a standard VGA LCD at max resolution. Absolutely no problems with SL but I've never used the option that you mentioned, as far as I know anyway. Jackie.

My 8600 gives black water... I just have the shaders turned off and am resigned to the fact that it's something to do with the drivers and it'll be fixed eventually....

Black water or black land under the water, as described by the OP? I have blue water that becomes mostly transparent when I go underwater, with my 8400GS.

If you're getting black water or black land under the water, are you running (or have you used) dual monitors?

What version of the drivers are you using?

If I can hijack this thread for a minute, yes, dual monitors, driver version 7.15.11.7813
