Recently I've been having this issue with standing on my property and getting pushed backwards, concussion-like, and my Bumps, Pushes, and Hits report says (always 1 line, only the most recent push), like: [7:58] So_And_So_Person pushed you with a script.
Just this morning I got knocked backwards a step, then another, then another, and I went over to ask the person if they were attacking me or setting off some kind of weapon. This has happened before and it is always the same person who is listed in the push report. But this person swore up and down that he/she was not attacking me, was not setting off any kind of explosion, or running any script at all, and was simply standing there IMing with a friend.
This person did say that he/she was wearing a offensive/defensive HUD that "if somebody is using weapons or a pushhud in my direction it will push or eject that person by automatic attack".
I wasn't wearing weapons, don't have a pushhud, and the only thing I can think of is that I was facing in the direction that that person was standing at, zooming out my view to view my recent object build - me on my property, he/she on someone else's property.
A faultly scripting of the HUD perhaps?
Anyone experiencing anything like this?

Only times I seem to get shield interference is in close quarters, but what you're describing sounds like what I encounter...no actual attack is necessary, just the physics detecting contact is sufficient to generate a push.
Sadly, unless your neighbor checks into the settings on their shield, that may continue to happen for you when near them.
If it becomes a hassle, wear a device that has a move-lock capacity (MystiTool, or most shield systems)...and, perhaps ask your neighbor if they'd turn their shield to move-lock only when not in combat.

You have the no push and safe settings switched on, on your land? Don't know if will do any good though.
If they were standing on your property, it may be worth turning scripts off in your land menu.

Nope, but if I did, and the neighbor refused to remove the HUD, I would file an AR every time.

That makes sense. Thanks for updating me on this kind of thing. I am one of those who has never used weapons here, the closest thing to destructive anything was when I put down a object titled "fire" from a freebie box that was next in line after a few fireplaces - which promptly exploded, throwing me 2 parcels away. *chuckle* I have no experience in the combative side of SL.

If they were standing on your property, it may be worth turning scripts off in your land menu. I've set my land to safe but have not checked no pushing. I haven't selected that because I really don't understand the full consequence of selecting that option. I know that it prevents scripts from pushing. That means more than being knocked about by device or AV. There are some legitimate things out there that push. I just don't know enough about it. I don't want to limit my options.

If they refuse, then of course I will start ARing if it becomes an issue. It is good to know, however, that such things can indeed happen without a user being intentional about it happening. Not every "push" is shove.
