Idea for removing stupid follow objects

As some of you probably already know, alot of the sandboxes are being overrun by griefers with annoying follow objects, etc. Namely, sandbox island, but i've seen it at many others. Basically you spend half your time building, and the other half trying to get rid of all the 'batman loud and annoying' objects following you.

HERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION WHICH ALL LANDOWNERS CAN IMPLEMENT

I propose subdividing a very small part of your land, say 4mx4m, and setting auto-return on all objects that enter there. Put a big sign over it that says something like 'Drag followers here', and as soon as they enter, they should be returned. Let me know if for some reason this wouldn't work, but to me it seems incredibly simple, yet effective. Thoughts?

Good idea, though it doesn't help you much while you are trying to work at the sandbox. Following objects in residential areas are not so common that you have to take such measures. At least in my area.

I actually saw this in conjunction with running.. PeerGuardian on my PC. seems that PG was blocking packets from some islands, but not others. The result was that if I tried to TP into the missing sims, I crashed. Even had a Linden show up and try to forceably TP me into the sim.

But it looked JUST like that. I realize that's a rare case.. but you might want to check your firewall stuff if you see this happen a lot.. particularly if others can get in and you can't.

I was also one of the people griefted in the sandbox. But where Did i land up after 14 banned from the FORUMS and Game? Logic? NO But its their rules! If they want to let griefters run a muck on sl. Then I Am not investing anymore money. Pain and Simple.

But as for the griefter. he laughed at the linden and the linden was not very hapyful. All I can say is .Sigh..............................

I don't agree with ageplay at all. Why doesn't Linden Lab do something about it? Don't they care?

No, it's quite simple. LL designates a tiny 16x16 plot of land in each sandbox as a "wipe-off" plot with instant auto-return. To wipe off a follower, walk across this plot of land.

The hard part is getting LL to actually do this. :D

Yeah, until someone programs the followers to avoid the "return zone".

I activate the "View Hidden objects" mode under View, Click, and edit the Follower to get it's exact name, then use a Disrupt weapon that i have that Flings Followers off the Sim. It's very useful.

I didn't mean your kind of Ageplay. Hell, I didn't mean anything. I was just being silly. :)

hmmm I built all day with one of those batman loud and annoying things folowing me, and it didn't affect my building at all. I turned off my sound, and ignored it. (ive found with all the other "loud and Annoying" things out there sound off is a smart move in any sand box.

Get yourself Psitec II or another similar weapon. Lots of them now have a disruptor for removing follower objects.
I also believe the next update for Exousia will have this feature.
