OK - so where can I find a conversation if - I actually did save it? I thought I would have saved it to my SL folder on my laptop but I could not find anything this morning - frankly I was so asleep last night (this morning) I may not have saved it - oh boy... but if I did, is there a sort of default place I can look? Thanks.

Thanks. If there is an important conversation that you want to review later, create a new notecard, copy/paste the converstation, and label it with the day and person. This is great for recollection of dates/times/details. Also, for smaller details, you can copy/paste info in the NOTES tab of their profile. You can copy/paste by using CONTROL + C for COPY and CONTROL + V for PASTE

Thanks guys - is the logging enable a standard setting? Or would I have to have made the conscious effort? Remind me not to chat in my sleep please...

You'd have to enable it in Preferences>Communication.

If you selected and copied the text last night, it could still be on your scratch pad and you may still be able to paste it into a text document. If you have not copied anything else since then.
