How about those that own a few thousand sq m of land, provide a quality service, but refuse to use camping chairs and other system abuses in order to artificially inflate the figures?
I think they should do away completely with the "popular places" list because it's very clear that popular does not in any way automatically equate to a quality experience. There is no easy way to really measure the quality of a place any more, and as nobody gets paid anything for traffic/dwell... its purpose is gone. Keep it visible by clicking on the "about land" at the top of the screen, when you get there, so owners can see or record it as necessary... but then it would be fairer for everyone as theres no figures to artificially skew a visitor over one place or another. I know that I pick a place depending on its description, and stay depending on my first impressions. If I get somewhere, after 2 minutes nothing is rezzed still and it's laggy as crap, then I'll simply go elsewhere. A big part of 'quality' is not just what happens there, but ease of use, load time, easiness of getting around, and the overall design - something so many places are sadly lacking. My point is example. GOL3. They hav 8 islands and it appears they are getting better cs then those that don`t pay googles or money as they do. Some Island owners are getting ZERO support..........Its appears LLabs is showing fav to those taht spend the most. Quility oof service and what some land owner offer this members, jobs, etc..........are the true wonders of sl.
I am not bashing anyone or anythin. I posted this in the wrong forum I repost there |

I think if they did away with the current traffic system, and switch back to a Vote system (as can bee seen by the little vote boxes in some places) We'd all get a much clearer idea of what sims and areas people truely enjoy, and which are havens for zombies.
Not that I have anything against zombies mind you...I just find vampires vastly superior. ![]() _____________________
