Hi Kizza
Unfortunaly no it cant, that I know of, if im wrong someone please correct me. However, if that person messages you while you are offline, and you have your preferences set for IMs to be sent to your email if they are recieved while you are not in Second Life, you can reply to that email and the person in world will recieve it. Hope this helps. ~Stormy _____________________

Suppossedly you can AIM, YIM, MSN, Skype, etc as well but you need ot buy the item, etc. The only supported item by SL is what Stormy suggested and so far all seem to be one way. Meaning they have to be activated from in world first.

There is a program called SLeek that will allow you to chat from out of world to inworld.
For more info go to http://delta.slinked.net/ . _____________________

You can, actually. You need his or her key, however. To do this, go onto an email account, and go to compose/send mail. Send it to his/her key such as
<the key here without the brackets>@im.agni.lindenlab.com I haven't heard of a direct for of communication between one person in-world and one person out. However if you have the persons key, it works quite nicely =D *Cheers* _____________________

The best way is to have them send you and IM while they are online and your off and have your email set in SL to send IM 's to you when your offline then you have there addy and can send an email to them anytime. The only thing is they change everytime SL has and update and you have to have send and IM again. I use this all the time to talk to my partner when I am at work
