how do a remove uwanted object from avatar

I put on hair that I hate but can't remove it. I've tried removing everything but it just won't go away. Is there anything I can do? Please help.

If it's the default hair you can edit it in the appearance section of the right-click pie menu.

If it's a prim style you've bought or found you can look in your inventory for where it says it is being worn and rightclick/remove it or from the earlier right-click pie menu select detach, then head.

Right click on your avatar and you'll see a "Detatch" option on the pie. Click on that, and navigate through until you see where your hair might be attached (probably skull) and that should clear it.

You may, however, depending on the type of hair, find that you now have *no* hair, and will need to modify your appearance to give yourself new hair. Some hair comes with a 'bald hair' template that you may need to modify or remove - but there's so many thousands of hairstyles out there it's almost impossible to be able to cover all the possibilities.

Your best bet is probably just to buy some new hair. You can get a box of various styles at Yadni's, I believe, for L$1.

I think you're referring to "Linden hair", the standard avatar hair. Often hair has no modify permission, so you won't be able to change it in your appearance menu. Instead of taking it off, you need to replace it with another hair file. To create modifiable hair, open your inventory and select "New --> New Body Part --> New Hair" from the menu on top of the inventory window. Locate it in your "Body Parts" folder, put it on with a doubleclick or drag it onto your body, and you can modify your look again.

The same goes for body shapes, skins and eyes. I often hear this question from customers, regarding non-modifiable shapes.

Many New Hairstyles come with a "Bald Cap" That you wear in addition to the style.If you Attach it, it will automaticly supplant the Linden Basic Hair. I have three or fould Base Balt Caps that came with various styles. Several Hairstyles have them Built in to them so they Automaticly supplant the Linden Hair.
