When I try to downgrade my account, a message comes up and says that I have to release my land before I change my account. I have already sold all of my land and do not have any in my inventory. Can someone help. Thanks

Go to the "My Land" menu item and make sure you have no land and no group tier contributions listed.

Under the World pull down, select "My Land..."

Make sure you have no unsold parcels left...

And make sure that you have no allocation deeded to any of the groups you're a member of! It's easy to overlook that.

If you're still having trouble downgrading you may have to contact LL for help. :-/

It used to be automatic, once you sell land and get into a lower tier the downgrade *was* automatic. Maybe you have to wait next billing date, cause even if you owned land for 1 minute you will pay tier for the whole month. Check in your account, at bottom you see something like

Allowed holdings: 512 square meters
Current holdings: 0 square meters
Available for purchase: 512 square meters
Peak square meter usage: 0 square meters
Total monthly cost: US$0.00
Next bill date: Sunday, April 22, 2007

If you see Current Holdings 0 and some monthly cost, I think you should wait till your next billing date, then you should have zero values

Premium fees are paid in advance (tier is paid in arrears) so I don't think this would apply to just 512..
