Hi,
I've made a waterfall, and we are making some water that we can swim in with mermaid animations. We are too high up for Linden water, so we are digging into the ground, building up with rocks, and using prim water. It's not too bad, but I'd love to see some examples of other people's work, if you have made something similar with prim water instead of Linden water. Please reply to this post, or give me a landmark inworld if you have something to share.
Thanks! Princess Ivory

We have done something like that on our land in Varano. In fact, we connect with a few neighbors, even one in the next sim. Just a streams with a few small falls, a cave, and a few ponds, but I think it looks really nice. I'll send you a lm feel free to check it out if you like.

And the cooperation of your neighbors adds to the effect. When I finally found your cave, I was overjoyed. It is exactly like what I am currently working on! Wonderful work. Thank you so much for sharing it.

/me blushes. Thanks so much, I am glad you liked it. We feel really lucky to have landed in such a nice mainland sim (on a new continent no less) and try to be good neighbors in turn. Anyone is welcome to drop by, there is a link in my picks under "home and pub." I keep meaning to put it in the open house thread. Good luck on your build Princess. I would love to see it when it is done!

Check out Rua for the caves, waterfalls, and underwater reefs, is a favorite of many mermaids. Also lots of good stuff listed here at the SL Parks and Recreation site http://www.gabrielguyer.com/slparksandrec/

Check out the Amarin Island sims (5 sims, all start with "Amarin" . The 5-sim area is a private residence, but polite guests are OK as long as you keep out of the private home. In Amarin Dong I built a 40M tall waterfall, that cascades down into the marina bay below it. In Amarin Island that waterfall's water comes from a large moat around a Tibetan Monestary. (The monestary itself is the land owner's home, and has a security system and is off-limits, but you can look from beyond the moat. The perimiter is about 3 M outside the moat). In Amarin Bei I built a huge mountain lake. It's more than 50M in diameter, and is 40 M above Linden Water Level. I modified a boat script so the land owner can ride around the lake in a small speedboat. The moat and the lake connect, and both are done with Prim-Swim water, and you can swim in them with a "Swimmer" HUD. The other two Amarin sims have no special prim water features, but Amarin Xi, the westward one of the set, features a large Chinese palace that I built. (The rectangular building with the yellow roof also has a security system, but you can look at the rest.) There is also a cool suspension bridge between Amarin Bei and Amarin Xi, which is my work.

About a month ago someone posted a thread entitled "You've got to see this" (I think)..five minutes later I was standing knee deep in the most convincing water I've seen in SL. Sorry but I can't recall who posted it..but it was seriously good water. Contact Eva Glasgow, she was there standing in the water with me and might remember the creator and the location. I have the location in my 'Landmarks' facility..unfortunately there's a lot of other locations..I'll get back to you when I find the place.. Fabulous water..worth waiting to see..

Perre, my name is AVA!!! The water is from Zor Zeddmore, and Perre is right, the stuff is amazing. I swear I could almost feel the cold water on my skin. You can purchase it through SLX: http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=296956 And see it inworld at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Liger%20Island/150/113/33There's probably a way to purchase it inworld too... check Zor's profile picks or classifieds to see if a location is listed.

Oh, Wow! I just went to look at it and bought it immediately. It is incredible! Thanks for the tip. I'm off to my project to remove all my water and replace it with this!
Thanks for the great tip!
