Land join buggy still?

I posted this question a week ago (Jan 1) in Linden Answers and have not received a reply yet.

I am reposting the question here in the hopes that residents who have joined land parcels recently can tell me if this bug still exists.

ORIGINALLY POST IN LINDEN ANSWERS:

I just recently acquired more land and want to join it with my existing parcel.

I have done several different searchs trying to find the post (or posts) that mentioned this bug but can't find anything so I am asking here. I need to know if it has been fixed before I attempt to join my land.

I remember reading in the forums a few months back that there use to be a land join bug which caused the joined larger parcel to be set for sale at the price of the cheapest piece of land being joined (i.e if you bought a 2048 parcel at 50000L and a 512 parcel at 9000L then the joined 2560 parcel would automatically be set for sale at 9000L). From what I understand this would occur even when ALL parcels being joined were set to NO SALE before joining them.

Considering how quickly cheap parcels are bought up now (within less then 1 min of being put for sale), if this bug still exists it could cause a large parcel of land to be sold before the owner even realizes his joined land got set for sale by mistake.

I know that several features have been added to prevent accidentally selling land but that is when your actually clicking the SELL LAND button. From what I understand this bug just set the land for sale automatically.

I am extremely nervous to join my parcels of land until I now if this bug has been fixed and if not is there some workaround to prevent it from happening?

I'm pretty sure the overhaul of the whole Land Sale dialog setup made this issue go away - if I recall correctly, any Join / Split operations on a parcel cancel its for-sale settings so the land can't sell until you intentionally go back through the 'set land for sale' process again.

To be super-sure, you could set all the parcels you want to join to be Not For Sale prior to joining them - although I don't believe that's necessary any more.

Thanks for your reply Buxton.

However, as I said in my original post, I believe in this bug they ALL are already set to Not For Sale. All parcels would be Not For Sale and when joined the whole joined parcel would be autoset to For Sale. That is why this bug is so bad and I want to make absolutely sure it has been fixed before attempting to join my land parcels.

I just joined land I bought a couple days ago and it is all fine. Nothing set for sale. And it would be easy enough to set it so that it is not for sale if that should happen. Just make sure you check it.
