I am new to SL. I spent a lot of time trying to make my Avatar look nice but seems I am having a problem and don't like the face.
I saw a store that sold avatars and purchased one along with its skin. I clicked on the body shape and selected wear yet my face looks exactly as it did before. Its like body shapes do not alter faces. Is this true or am I going about this the wrong way?

yes. Its very wierd. I figured it must be something that doesn't happen unless i do something else. If I load my default body it looks exactly the same in the face as the one I bought.

That shouldnt happen... your new shape that you bought should also change the face... I would contact the maker of your shape

load on the DB could also cause what you were seeing... I noticed considerable lag (like 20 minutes) yesterday AM where I changed shape and clothes layers that took a while to load right.
