Isn't there an easier way to subdivide irregular land?

So, I've got some land that's laced with some strips of protected land, which belongs to the Lab. I want to subdivide my property, but the only way I know how to divide out the little triangle bits along the protected area is to break up the land into little 4m-wide strips and then join all the strips, and then join them to the regular-sized land.

There HAS to be an easier way to do this, like with SHIFT, CTRL, or ALT, while selecting, right? I've tried various combinations though, and still haven't hit upon the magic keystrokes.

Help?

Alas, I believe there is not... you can't combine land selection operations by any means I know of. :(
