Hi everybody,
I am writing a book about SL, that will be published in Italy next year.
I would like to publish some of the best definitions of Second Life, given by the residents. Saying "definition" I mean something like "a bonus for your real life" or "it's just like to live watching his own's life from above", Things like that.
You could write up to two lines for your definition and I will choose the most original, funny, thoughtful and bizarre, to publish in my book.
Naturally, I will credit the names of the residents who gave the best answers.
I wait for your definitions.

Hm... let's see... I can finally experience cyber sex in a realistic 3D environment, instead of a MMORPG featuring avatars with agglutinated undergarments; something online roleplayers dreamt of since Ultima Online. In addition, I can make a business of my hobby

I am grateful for Second Life because it kick started my desire to learn again. It gave me a reason to learn things like computer graphics for example. In fact, so many things I never would have thought I would like doing! When I first started, there were a whole bevy of things to do that I found facinating, yet were quite a mystery. Instead of allowing myself to feel overwhelmed, I just took it one thing at a time. I'm pleased with my journy so far and am grateful to the nice people who have helped me along the way

I'd say "Second Life ...opens doors to learning!"

We the voyagers of the starship Interweb, are on an infinant journey in the vastness of CyberSpace. Our Mission? Go forth and seek new life, to boldly go where no avatar has gone before!

in other words, you cannot just apply a definate definition upon SL because it is ever evolving, morphing and growing into a vast world all its own.
hmm how about:

an unending evolutionary journey limited by Your own inagination.

Initially i thought "Me Squared", or "Me Cubed" But the Options i have in SL, without the RL barriers is more like "Me to the Power of 100".

Have you ever had a Dream where you can Fly? This is IT, Only this time you aren't just sitting back and Watching.
