Group Land Question

OK, I thought I was smart, but group land has me stumped. Can anyone shed light? The story so far..

-My friend P. and I pooled our money, and she bought a First Land parcel (in her name, obviously).

-So that I could add friends to the access list, we formed a group (along with a helpful friend to make the required three).

-P., who owns the land, has set the land to our group, and checked the "Owner makes contribution with Deed" box, and the "Allow Deed to Group" box. But whenever she tries to use the Deed button, she gets an error about not enough land credits.

Can we not do this with First Land? Should we have formed the group, then bought the land? Why does my head hurt?

Any hints much appreciated...

Many Thanx & Animated kisses,
Jilly

*blinks* Wow, that's a bug.

I know when I bought my first land, it was before I created my group so my friends could set it as their home. I had no trouble deeding it to the group or anything. Although eventually, we had to drop the group, due to the fact that we needed ads on the place and at that time, everyone shared the costs. (They were basic and it wasn't fair to them.)

Did the land owner create the group? That might be the issue, but either way, report it as a bug.

It will depend on the amount of tier P has agreed to pay. If its just the $5/month tier fee, than P is only allowed 512sqm (about 10% more if land is group owned, which it is not yet). In order for the group to "own" the land, an officer or owner in the group has to "carry" the land holdings (512sqm in this case). You would set this prior to the sale of the land to the group. However, since P can only carry 512sqm at P's first land tier rate, P cannot contribute to the group (set contribution). You must, or your friend if they're an officer, contribute 512sqm of your tier holdings to the group prior to the group buying the land from P. Otherwise P will have to tier up to the 1024sqm level to contribute 512sqm to the group, sell to the group, than tier back down to the 512sqm level. The trouble with that is P will still have to pay the 1024sqm tier fee for this month.

Hope that helps.

If they checked the "Owner makes contribution with Deed" box, and the "Allow Deed to Group" box, it should have worked. I have helped customers deed their land to group when they were maxed out on tier before, and that setting did it without raising their tier. Report that as a bug!

Agree with Ceera

If you have the owner makes contribution and deed to group checked, it should go through.
