Sorry if this is not the correct forum, but i need direction. Is there any place I can submit a issue regarding paying someone lindens and not receiving services or product? It was 5000 which is significant enough for me? I feel like I was swindled. Thanks in advance LALA

You can't name and shame here Lala, you also have no real recourse, however have you tried sending the person a notecard?

Ya know, we recently had a person (not Lala) purchase a treehouse, furniture, etc.--totaling quite a bit. The next day we received an IM saying she had received NONE of what she purchased. NONE. Fifteen or so items, and she hadn't received ANY of them?? I asked her to file a ticket with SL, and promised that once she had done so and provided me with a ticket number, I would replace her items. Haven't heard from her since. Has SL really gone that far south, or have the scammers gotten that brazen?
Lala, send the merchant a notecard, file a ticket with SL, and hope that the merchant is fair enough to make it right.

They are getting that brazen.
Or at least the foolish ones are
It's why most i know have a simple policy: we will resend items if it shows in transaction logs that you purchased. We do not offer refunds on no-transfer items.

i actually had this happen to me. where i was the purchaser. i was in a sim one day (which had a bunch of shops in it).. i made several purchases from all sorts of shops in that sim. After my shopping trip was over and i tp'd home, i realised though my money had been taken *none* of the items were in my inventory. (i'd spent almost 7,000 lindens total) i had to contact several creators in that sim asking for items. Luckily none of them made me jump through hoops to get the items, a simple transaction number and the name of the item was enough. it was definitely during a time SL was borked, but i didn't realise it until after i'd been shopping. So. ya. sometimes SL can get that bad. ~~ To the OP.. there's nothing you can do really though. if the person you were purchasing something from won't do anything for you Linden Lab won't either. ~ Especially if it was outside of the traditional purchase methods. i mean. if i told you "hey i'll build you a chair if you give me 5,000" and you give me 5,000 lindens.. then i never build the chair for you or give it to you.. Linden Lab won't do anything about that.. even though i clearly scammed you.

Hana, I can appreciate what you experienced. I guess I just get my shackles up a bit when there is the possibility that I'm being scammed. I am willing to replace the items, but I want the gal to go the extra mile and file a ticket. For me, that indicates some degree of sincerity, albeit a shallow one! lol

SL has been a mess lately when it comes to purchases. Friday I purchased items from two different places. Paid the money and received neither of them. I kindly sent the creators a notecard telling them that sl was being naughty again put in a copy of my transaction and received my items within 24 hours.

I never leave the shop until it shows up in my inventory.........if, like in a couple of instances, it didn't I IM the creator. I usually give the item 15 to 30 mins to show up before doing anything. If the creator is not online I send a notecard with the transaction copied and pasted.
I've never been let down by a single creator.

I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe the agency owner is just not online right now. Maybe you'll get a response. In the meantime, type a keyword "baby" in your search area of your inventory. You might get lucky and find your baby hiding in your inventory!

Don't forget that if you're set to Busy, you won't receive anything that the vendor tries to send to you.

Make sure you dont have them Muted. I got an Offline IM today about a customer not receiving some items so I log in.. When I tried to send the Items they were auto-declined. I sent an IM and got no response. At this point I knew I was Muted.
Then the customer sent me an IM saying "I saw you Accepted my notecard... can you help me?" *roll* I replied... "IF you would UnMute me!" and laughed.
I had to get my husband to login and send her an IM asking that she Unmute me. She was very apologetic.. it was an accident.
As a mechant, I'm fairly easy going when it comes to resending items that SL failed to deliver. I check my Transaction History to verify a payment was received... then I send the product with an apology for SLs craziness.
Yes, I might get scammed every now and then but I'd rather someone get a freebie occasionally than to have any ill feelings from a legitimate customer. I've built up quite a customer base like this.

Thanks again ppl. I do appreciate it. I wouldn't give up quite yet. I would give another notecard, and IM them too, and continue to be polite as it is still possible that the merchant doesn't yet realize there is a problem. The notecard you sent could have been in a pile of group notices etc and gotten accidentally deleted or even lost by SL.

Lots of people haven't been logging in lately due to all the issues. Good luck and I am sorry this happened to you.
