A very good friend of mine got the message that her account is suspended due to age verification. Now I know for a fact she's 18 + so I was like: WTH?? What can she do about this? She can't login here herself obviously so on behalf of her I'm asking the question.

I don't know for sure, but I think it usually involves providing LL with proof of age. I'd guess a certified copy of a driver's license or another official document that asserts age.
If she didn't sign up with real information (a fake RL name) I'm not sure what happens.

I'll tell her, I'd hate to see her get booted out because of some slip up. Mandy C

It's possible somebody reported her as appearing to be a minor. I think I once saw something about reporting 'childish' behaviour. (I think it was coupled to something about reporting suspected adults on the teen grid)

Have to love the guilty until proven innocent approach for VERIFIED account holders. No one should be allowed to accuse another resident of anything without some sort of proof. And no- Chat Logs arent proof. You can edit them.

This happened to me before, because the name I signed up with didn't match the name on my credit card. I just had to adjust the info on secondlife.com, then email support and it was taken care of.

This may be a crazy idea, but suppose Linden Labs would INFORM people if they put a ban on them, stating the reason why, wouldn't that help to avoid some of the confusion?

True, in this case my friend wasn't notified. She tried to login and couldn't. After a while she found out that LL thinks she's 13. I already sent out an email volley to several Lindens. Mandy C

I think your friend should call LL personally and verify her age somehow.
