I have made a few shirt and now need to make some pictures of it.

I have seen some pics around showing the shirt without an avatar wearing it.
How are these made?

Can that be done in Photoshop?
I made the shirts using Robin Woods template

Most people just edit the person out of the picture. Thats easy to do.

Do a screen capture of the texture upload preview window looking at the shirt, then edit in PS?

Change your skin to solid white. Make a background of solid white. Wear tshirt. Take picture. You should be able to erase yourself using whatever paint program you use. You might want to use a poseball to hold yourself still while taking the picture. You also don't have to use white for your skin and background.

That's definitely the easiest way. You can do it with a completely black skin and black backdrop also, depending on which will contrast the most with the clothing item and make it easier to select in your paint program.

but what if you jsut want the t-shirt to look like it's laying flat, and NOT on a 3D person?

I had this problem... In the end, as a work around, I just used a stock photo of a plain t-shirt and added a flat version of the logo/teture to that and uploaded that...

Seemed to be the simplest way to me, and it does give a very good likeness of the actual product when worn...
