Land and World Questions

Can someone direct me perhaps to detail list of diferent areas and any further information about them?
Also as far as land what can 5000 to 4000L buy property wise?

As far as I'm aware the only way to do this is to look on the Land Sales tab in Search.

There aren't really any impartial estate agents in SL - at the moment, any land brochure-type sites you'll see will be operated by the resellers of the same land.

If you are buying land, then L$5000 will buy you about 714sqm on the mainland (it's about L$7/sqm since the island fees went up). Remember that to actually claim this, you will need to be a Premium member; and, because it is more than 512sqm, you will need to pay the additional US$5/month to Linden Labs, to increase your permitted ownership to 1024sqm. Also remember that if you have not yet bought any land, you can spend L$512 of your L$5000 on your First Land, and then resell it for more than you paid, increasing your money available to buy land with.

Yeah I am just trying to figure out where I want to live and what litlte towns and communities exist that I have traveled by. Just the stories of residents in the areas Perhaps later I can do something around that since I love to write LOL
I am premium but there is zero first land last time I looked.
I am suffering from noobitist in find areas to buy once I find them listed and usualy there is already someone there.

It'd be a good idea to wait for some First Land before buying. If you buy any other land your chance to buy First Land is gone and you've lost out on a potential profit of L$2500 or more (ie, US$10!)

Ah, so first land isn't always available? I was wondering about that myself last night. Unfortunately I went ahead and bought some land So I guess I'm going to miss out on that $10.

I gues not if people are geting multiple alts to get around the tier or something.

First land sometimes runs out of stock, until the Lindens put out another region zoned as First Land. That can take a few days depending on the demand for other regions.

Another note regarding first land: Sometimes old land is put into the first land pool, I shopped for 3 days or so on my first purchase and was very happy I did, I ended up with a plot in a developed area very close to the road and water on the north continent. Patience can pay when shopping first land.

I don't know if this is still the case, but it used to be that if you selected "first land" and clicked search it would only return like the top 10 results, but in many cases there are huge pools of first land still out there so what you need to search for is =>512sqm for =<512L. Before the change in the purchasing system the only land that cheap was either a mistake or first land so you could see a complete list vs. a small list of all available first land..

I just forgot my orginal account that I created over 3 years or so years ago.
I am not sure if its even there any more.
If I had it I have the land unless they deleted the account and sold off my land and home.

If you haven't been Paying your Land Tier in all this time, Even if they could recover your old account, the Land would Long ago have reverted to Governor Linden, and been resold. Sorry, No Luck there.
