TOPIC CLOSED, SOLUTION FOUND __________ Hello, before I propose my idea to the Lindens, I could like feedback from the community on what changes should be made. My proposal is:
I believe that in the next update or so, a land content control tool should be added that lets you block chat from leaving the parcel. Why? It would be like the sound restriction option, but for chat. I am deciding to propose this because I have a bondage place right behind my store, and I don't really need to hear all they are saying 24/7. So, my ideas:
-Chat could be blocked from leaving the parcel -Chat could be set to be blocked in a certain radius that the owner could change
Any other suggestions before I propose this are welcomed!

I was confused what "Black chat from leaving parcel" meant at first lol, but now i see youre saying that we can have the option of blocking other peoples chat from coming onto our parcel
I think thats a good idea. Would be cool if we could also choose for our chat to not leave our own parcels. Would help in living places too close together where you dont want to have anyone listening to your conversation- you wouldnt have to use the IM window. (I know you can put calling cards in a folder and talk to multiple friends in a group somehow but I prefer to chat openly)

There are already a number of proposals asking for this and it would probably be better to add support (votes) to existing ones rather than starting a new one. A quick search turned up: Prop: 360 - Configurable chat distance (5 votes)Prop: 681 - Private chat on land feature - isolate land from external chat (63 votes)Prop: 1311 - Walls must limit voice range (48 votes)I personally wouldn't vote for the last one because even if it is possible to add that, it would probably come at too high of a performance price for them to consider adding it.

Kitty Barnett, thank you for your reply, (yours too Jesseaitui), I didn't realise people had the same idea I did...I have voted for one of the ones you listed that matches my proposal most, thank you for the links!
