Whoever wrote that has had far more than a few days in-world than they are trying to make readers belive ..Tooooo Well informed , But the funny thing is soooo misinformed at the same time .

They paint an overall picture of SL with one tar brush ... Reading between the the lines i started to think that this person wanted to see Sex related stuff as the topic seemed to keep comming up .

And im sorry ... i just totaly refuse to belive that anyone ( even a noob) could travle around SL for 2 day's and not have spoken to somone other than some sudo- KGB mafia type.. total crap imho

That artical is a selective ( narrow ) perspective of secondlife fromm somone who claims to have only spent a few days here avoiding sex orgy's ... Criminal underworld's and prostitutes ... yeah right .. whatever.

It seems to me that they have only picked out the worst aspects of SL to create a story that people would even bother to take the time to read ...Its a case of " No one wants to hear good news "

People like this need to stay away from SL if all they can do is try and make Us ... and this sim look like some seedy underworld

always baffled me, you find peoples roleplaying sex in just about any online game, yet one that offer the actual possibility (and much more of course!) is frowned upon.

Whatever, maybe journalists don't know how to enjoy their life

Yes... I failed in my first.... DAMN IT... no, I have a very happy and good first life as many other people have who take part of SL.
But reporters just love to spread stereotype nonsense like that... and confirm the image many people have about SL.

Don't let guys like that get to you. I find that only the misinformed and the narrow-minded take that view on on-line gamers, whether the game in question is SL or WoW.

I am new to SL (only been here for a few weeks) and I don't agree that all we see is sex orgys... I can't say anything related with what that person said because, luckly, I get an error message when I tryed to open it...

I have to agree that there is quite a lot of sex and gambling related content in SL... but we can easely avoid it with that great tool: "Search".

I now visit some very quite and pleasent places and have made some good friends with whome I like very much to talk with...

Well, two sayings spring to mind, "no news is good news" and "never let the truth get in the way of a good story"
He spoke to two people in two days? What a shame he didn't spend the rest of the time exploring places like Bliss, Svarga, Clementine, Apollo ...

In general, what is the easiest thing to find all over the internet, intentionally or unintentionally? SEX.... oh and Viagra adverts lol...

If you don't bother looking below the skum that always floats to the surface in every pond, you will never see the true depth of good anywhere.

Reporters (for some part) look for sensationalism, something to (perhaps) make readers want to read their perspective on life and what they see around them. Read enough perspectives on something you know nothing about, and in there somewhere will be some truth that you may share.
